这张专辑是beck2002年出的一张非常出色的专辑，风格是太空民谣，做得非常精细。12首低调悲伤的叙事曲，所有歌曲的灵感都来自他的失恋经历。《Sea Change》里包含了许多音乐风格的痕迹：民谣、摇滚、电子等等。Beck的父亲David Campbell参与录制的“Paper Tiger”、“Lonesome Tears”和“Round the Bend”是最具神韵的：阴冷、疏离，以及大量的弦乐安排。而专辑制作人Nigel Godrich曾经操刀Radiohead《OK Computer》，他给《Sea Change》加入了了若干敏感和神经质的成份，如“Sunday Sun”结尾处扭曲的安排。
