Tito puente，生于1923年，是拉丁爵士的大师。在1942年第二次世界大战期间于海军服役三年。在20世纪有着巨大的影响力。凭借他温暖且华丽的舞台方式，不断的演出和出现在媒体上，普恩特可能是拉丁爵士的象征了。他作为一个音乐家，他游刃有余地掌握着每一个节奏的细微差别。普恩特原来想成为一名舞蹈演员，可是因为一次事故中遭受脚踝肌腱撕裂而使这个愿望破灭。在成名后的很多年，他坚持使用传统的爵士风格。2000年5月31日晚去世，曾被追授为格莱美终生成就奖。
