喜欢平克.弗罗伊德的歌迷一定都熟悉他们的音乐专辑《The wall》（迷墙），这张专辑以其音乐的完美性和歌词的深刻性叫人影象深刻。平克.弗罗伊德的音乐给听者的感受是他的深沉含义，所以作品并非如一般意义上的音乐专辑那样叫人易于理解，这张专辑就是他们所有作品中最深受广泛议论的一张。而我相信凡是听过《The wall》的歌迷一定会知道专辑的同名电影。
由于专辑主题及内容的屡造评议，联合艺术家电影公司在1982年拍摄了这张专辑的同步电影《迷墙》。《迷墙》由Roger Waters出任编剧，英国著名导演Alan Parker执导，爱尔兰歌星Bob Geldof担任主角。在长达93分钟的放映过程中，整部电影没有出现一句对白，也毫无任何贯穿全面的情节线索可言。影片只是不断的切换画面，在一个一个镜头中展现人物的内心世界和作者意图传输的精神意识。画面和音乐的完美结合使得这部影片独具魅力，两条平行运行的线强烈深刻的剖析了意识的各个层面与思维的各类形式，体现了人物的复杂情感，让人印象深刻。《The wall》在某种程度来说，在一个更深的层面上阐述了Pink Floyd的音乐意识和创作概念，完全影响了80年代青年一代，具有极为深刻的意义。
而值得一提的是，本片也是贝斯手Roger Waters在平克.弗罗伊德所取得的最为辉煌的成就。自平克.弗罗伊德创立至今，Roger Waters便在乐队中展现了其超人的创作能力，成为整支乐队的核心人物。《迷墙》即是他过人才华最成功的展现。
