Originally formed as a death metal band under the name Reincremated. They split up and restarted as Officium Triste in April 1994.
Officium Triste means something like a sad service, referring to a funeral.
In late 1998, the band called it quits and some members continued under a new name: 11:59 or XILIX. However, after releasing a "goodbye" CD-single in 1999, they reversed this decision and reformed.
