Lighthouse Family常被翻译成“灯塔一家”或“灯塔家族”，
听来遥远而又温暖。这支90年代末英国的最佳乐队之一，始终
坚持着自己独特的音乐视角，他们的音乐浸透着感人的真诚和
哲理般的理性光辉。





成员之一的Paul Tucker在Newcastle从事音乐工作多年，
之后他卖掉了所有的乐器，开始学习法语和德语课程。
毕业以后，他选择在一家酒吧工作，并为自己保留多年的
一首“Ocean Drive”寻找歌手。经人推荐，他结识了拥有
会计文凭、也在酒吧工作的Tunde Baiyewu,于是这个欧、非风
格兼具的乐队就这样诞生了。








2001年11月发行的专辑《Whatever Gets You Through The Day》
Lighthouse Family再度展现惊艳世人的流行乐风，获得了巨大的成功，
它在保持原有风格的同时，作了少许改变，他们回归音乐的本质，朴实粗
糙的极简风格，释放更强大、撼动人心的音乐力量。该专辑在英国的销量
已达到两百万，在美国也深受好评。当然，Tunde丰厚圆融的歌喉，始终
是当今乐坛最独一无二、备受赞誉的音色。





单曲《(I wish I knew how it would feel to be)free/one 》完美结合
爵士女伶Nina Simone "(I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be) Free"
以及U2合唱团的"One"，堪称翻唱歌曲的绝佳示范。
歌词赞颂60年代黑人公民权，经过Paul重新编曲，让Tunde如鱼得水、
抒发动人温情的心灵歌声。
