发行于1992年的这张《The Celts》其实是一张老专辑，而且是Enya初试啼声的作品。早在1986年恩雅与她的原创制作班底为BBC（英国国家广播公司）的电视剧《The Celts》担任原声配乐，获得很好的反响。所以在同年，英国国家广播公司便将其15首配乐辑为恩雅的首张同名专辑《Enya》推向市场。在恩雅加入华纳唱片以后，WEA买断了这张唱片的版权，经过重新包装，命名为《The Celts》，于1992年年底发行。由于是恩雅的早期作品，而且是原声配乐，所以其中的音乐风格个性并不突出，整体效果非常舒缓、平和。这些音乐讲述了古代凯尔特民族的历史与神话，略带神秘却又令人敬畏。

Born Eithne Ni Bhraonain, this classically-trained pianist was kid sister in the musical family that became Clannad, joining the Irish band in 1979 but dropping out amicably three years later to pursue her own muse. This music, produced in the mid-'80s as the soundtrack to a BBC series, was released as her debut in 1987 and promptly ignored--yet its mix of atmospheric soundscapes and Enya's lush, layered vocals, sung in both English and Gaelic, is the template for her subsequent global hits, beginning with Watermark the following year.
