旋律硬摇滚乐队Shinedown来自Florida的Jacksonville，乐队成员由主唱 Brent Smith，吉他 Jasin Todd，贝司 Brad Stewart和鼓手Barry Kerch组成。2001年，Shinedown被曾签下当红乐团Nickelback的主流厂牌Atlantic签下，从此顺遂的音乐路程就此开始。 　　被Atlantic唱片抢签后说成是Creed和Nickelback的接班人。乐队在2003年的第一张专辑Leave a Whisper为乐队带来了不错的成绩，之后乐队在2004年的大部分时间里都在各地巡演然后发行了一张现场专辑。2005年发行了成绩不俗的新专辑Us and Them。
