为俄罗斯著名作曲家Shchedrin发挥其独特创意，首度将打击乐融入比才脍炙人口的作品中，从而带出了摄人的特殊魅力和万种风情。

此版本于1968年由俄罗斯Melodiya (旋律唱片公司)以LP首次发行。其恢宏管弦乐团与鲜活敲击乐音色，加上深广有致的音场，旋即成为全球发烧友争相收藏的心水版本。由于种种历史原因，面市不久即告绝版，而原始母带则是一直被珍藏于档案库中。时隔40年后，这张传奇铭盘终得以重见天日,特藉由原貌（本CD封面即当年首版黑胶原始封面）及更优异的音质与爱乐者见面，重温它昔日迷人风采。

与波修瓦歌剧院管弦乐团(BOLSHOI THEATRE ORCHESTRA)合作数十年,录音超过500张专辑的俄罗斯大指挥家罗日杰斯特文斯基（G. Rozhdestvensky, 1931~）他那富激情并具敏锐的色彩感和柔润音乐性,亦为此天碟更添光彩。
