Throughout the ’80s and early ’90s, Tears For Fears filled the airwaves with great self-conscious pop hits. They also earned a reputation for being one of the best acts of their time and in the US, their impact was undeniable. Their album, Songs From The Big Chair, sold over 5 million copies and is a true classic. Its hits included “Shout,” “Everybody Wants To Rule The Worlds” and “Head Over Heals.”This 30th anniversary re-issue also includes a remixed version of the album by Steve Wilson.Tears for Fears’ phenomenal 10-million-selling second album marked a transition in the band’s sound and catapulted them into international prominence.Songs From The Big Chair was originally recorded on 1/2" analog tape in 1983 using a digital compressor that cut frequencies higher than 20hKz before being written to tape. This 2014 remaster was done by Andy Walter, at Abbey Road Studios from these same analog tapes which were transferred to digital at 96kHz/24-bit.
