Sister Hazel成立于1993年，成员包括主音兼吉它手Ken Block，Andrew Copeland，贝司Jeff Beres，鼓手Mark Trojanowski，以及Ryan Newell。他们在1994年发表了首张同名专辑，1997年他们的第二张专辑《Somewhere More Familiar》中的一曲"All for You"在那个夏天终于榜上有名。同时，唱片的销售量也相当不错，进入了销量排行榜前50的位置。
