　　Bossa Nova 出現在50年代末期，这种源自拉丁美洲的新曲风，融合了拉丁音乐的节奏、爵士乐的即兴乐句、加上前卫的欧洲和声，轻松活泼的音乐风格深受听众的喜爱，成為当时最主要的流行的拉丁爵士乐风，世界各地的听众对于这种热情洋溢的新音乐相当喜爱，只要听过Bossa Nova，很少有人不爱上的。
　　生于巴西里约的卡萝莎波亚(Carol Saboya)，父亲安东尼奥(Antonio Adolfo)本身就是Bossa Nova的创作者，卡萝从小身边皆为一流音乐家，环境的薰陶加上与生具来音乐才华，自然而然就散发出Bossa Nova女伶的优雅气质。 卡萝以她清新的嗓音诠释着动人的乐曲，包括父亲于1976年的创作、史蒂夫汪达及Seigo Mendes演唱的世界名曲的「美丽新世界」与葡萄牙原文原曲的「Sa Marina」，对从小耳濡目染的卡萝而言，这首曲子拥有特別深厚的情感，她以活泼轻快的唱法歌颂这首巴西人视为永恒之名曲。除了优异的演唱功力以外，卡萝也发挥了令人赞赏的创作实力，「Sim」、「Olhos Tontos」便为卡萝个人创作的曲子，歌曲中歌咏着里约的自然之美、以及慵懶自在的生活情怀，正如同Bossa Nova歌咏的世界一样。
　　专辑中不仅收录了享誉国际的巴西歌手Marcos Valle的兩首曲子，「Seu Encanto」的选录为这张专辑增添一些色彩，特別引人注目的是，本专辑中力邀里约50~60年代的超人气Bossa Nova团体「Os Cariocas」跨刀助阵，穿越了里约的音乐世代，将新旧時代的音乐元素融合为一。午后的暖煦的阳光洒落大地，徐徐海風迎面吹來，聆听卡萝的歌声就好像來到里约的棕榈大道，闭上双眼体验里约的无可救药的浪漫...
