　　10年前，當Jose’ Padilla還是Caf’e del Mar的駐場DJ，他以獨特的選曲能力創造了一個弛放音樂(chill-out)的系列選輯--「Caf’e del Mar」。最初，Jose’只是為了讓親臨Ibiza的人們留住對夕陽的記憶，沒想到竟獲得全球性的肯定：包括日本、北美洲、南美洲、歐洲與澳洲...，至今累積銷售量已逾三百萬張。
天后瑪丹娜接受Billboard雜誌訪問時曾透露，任何一張由Jose’ Padilla選曲的「Caf’e del Mar」合輯，都
是荒島生活最佳原聲帶。
　　10年後，這位弛放音樂教父特地從「Caf’e del Mar」系列第一輯至第八輯中精心揀選出代表作，並加入幾首新曲，成就了這張雙CD版的旗艦級精選，也破天荒的開出此系列有史以來最豪華的26首曲目：【CD1】收錄英國頂尖電音團體The Sabres of Paradise的作品“Smokebelch II”，以及英倫後迷幻浩室樂風代表團The Ballistic Brothers的迷幻抽離之作“Unchi’s Groove”。【CD2】選自迷幻爵士浩室樂團A Man Called Adam、Jose’ Padilla自己、搖滾領袖天團U2、混音魔手Moby和Bush合唱團的作品，還有知名電影配樂大師AR Rahman縈迴耳際之作“Mumbai Theme Tune”。
