Created as the antithesis of 'musical journey', Continuum is mental and imaginary spaces in sound; created by London based artist and producer Gaudi with ethno-musicologist and sound therapist Antonio Testa. The organic sounds and colours of Antonio's ethnic, recycled and homemade instruments and percussion, exist alongside and within Gaudi's electronic creations and manipulations forming atmospheres in which the mind is left free to create. Continuum is an auditory stimulation, a gateway to a self-determined co-ordinate in space time.
Defying constraint by any boundaries or confines Gaudi once again works his sonic magic in Continuum. From a base platform of ambience and highly persuasive beats he weaves his way outwards to encompass interplays of diverse and intriguing sound combinations. Each track follows its own pulse, and is not shy of embracing an adventurous experimental approach, though there is always a principal structure whose rhythmic propulsion draws the listener irresistibly into exotic and unusual grooves. The unique flavour with which Gaudi & Testa playfully juxtaposes diverse and wide ranging sound palettes and genres are key to their propellant and infectious originality.The unrestricted quality of the music`s journey and Gaudi`s delight in introducing an ever broader framework of elements make this a compelling and highly enjoyable offering from this intergalactic dubmaster! This album is a gem.
